Kickdown
A self-serve configurator for legal ECU remapping: from the exact engine code to an itemised quote, with certified workshops and road-legal certification included.

The challenge
Pricing depended on engine code, target output and homologation route. Customers could not self-serve, so every enquiry became a phone call.
Workshops quoted inconsistently, which made the road-legal promise hard to defend in writing.
The approach
We encoded the pricing rules for 1,100 engine variants and exposed them as a four-step configurator that never asks a question it can infer.
Each quote is itemised — remap, bench time, certification, workshop margin — and locked for 30 days so the customer sees the same number the workshop sees.
Workshop availability and certification status are pulled live, so a quote is only offered where it can actually be delivered.
