Aura Style
Aura Style is a virtual hair-styling studio shipped mockup-first: a live, fully navigable four-screen flow — landing, input, variations, result — that walks a visitor through choosing a new look end to end. The stage-1 build runs entirely on client state, with no backend and no user data, so the product and its design language can be validated in market before the AI generation is wired in.
The challenge
A visual, AI-driven product is easy to describe and hard to judge on paper. The team needed real users reacting to the actual flow — not a slide deck — before committing to the model, upload and image-generation work behind it.
That validation had to happen without collecting a single piece of personal data: no uploads, no photos, no location — nothing that would create a privacy surface before the product even exists.
The approach
We shipped a stage-1 build: a live, fully navigable site whose main feature is a four-screen demo running on client state and curated stock data — the whole choose-a-look experience, with no model call and no backend.
The flow touches no user data by design — an upload assigns a stock portrait, "use my location" is a stubbed value — so the site can go live and gather SEO and real feedback with zero PII surface.
Around the demo sits an ordinary site — about, blog, contact and legal — built to the same Salon Noir design language, so the real generation work in stage 2 lands in a product that already looks and reads finished.
