91% of surveys about Bitcoin and crypto are totally wrong

When Tony Richards, the Head of Payments Policy at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), read the recent survey results from Finder’s Crypto Report saying that almost one in five Australians owned crypto, he didn’t believe it for a second. However, the results had already been widely published around the country, gracing headlines for weeks. They even made their way into the recent Senate Committee on Australia as a Technology and Financial Center’s final report in October. Welcome to the statistically dubious world of cryptocurrency surveys — an easy way for companies to get publicity…

Tiffany Dover’s killer shot – was the cost of silence a mountain-sized handout to CHI? – All the…

CHI Memorial was the hospital where nurse-supervisor, Tiffany Dover, was last seen baring her arm in a “vaccination” publicity drive on behalf of Pfizer. She fainted. Subsequently she faced the camera to say it was not the vaccine but that she had an “history” of “overactive vagal response”.

By now readers of this blog know that no confirmed sighting of Tiffany has occurred since 17 December 2020.

Death notices suddenly appeared and Tiffany’s husband, Dustin, changed his Facebook status to “single”.

For Pfizer-BioNTech, if the world got to know of…

Natural Asset Companies and the plan to financialize the commons

“The rise of capitalist practice and morality brought with it a radical revision of how the commons are treated, and also of how they are conceived.” -Noam Chomsky

Following the COP 26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland, which seems at times like an exercise in public relations for the leaders of richer nations who mostly left after the first week, it’s hard not to feel cynical about the chances that real action will be taken to avoid the worst impacts of climate change in the decades ahead. While tireless activists like Greta Thunberg and the student…

The Metaverse: Potential and Risks

Jane Genova
Even though the “metaverse” has been around for a while, doing marketing and public relations in the virtual-reality space can still be mystifying to many of us.
According to tech-focused platform Tekdeeps, the metaverse is “a shared virtual space created by combining the physical world with the virtual world and includes virtual reality, augmented reality, and internet.” The term was first coined in the 1992 sci-fi novel “Snow Crash” by Neal…

Robot Dogs Hack Chat

Join us on Wednesday, September 29 at noon Pacific for the Robot Dogs Hack Chat with Afreez Gan!

Thanks to the efforts of a couple of large companies, many devoted hobbyists, and some dystopian science fiction, robot dogs have firmly entered the zeitgeist of our “living in the future” world. The quadrupedal platform, with its agility and low center of gravity, is perfect for navigating in the real world, where the terrain is rarely even and unexpected obstacles are to be expected.

The robot dog has been successful enough that there are commercially available — if prohibitively priced — dogs on the market, doing everything from inspecting factory processes and off-shore oil platforms to dancing for their dinner. All the publicity around robot dogs has fueled a crush of DIY and open-source versions, so that hobbyists can take advantage of what the platform has to offer.

While the human touch will always prevail, you should know that there are many ways in which we can all utilize () wisely in order to run more efficient and effective PR campaigns.

As technology continues to evolve, many companies are turning to as a means to help streamline repetitive processes and find efficiencies where they can.

The public relations sector is no different, with PR firms looking for ways to use for certain aspects of the business that can benefit from functions.

The idea of using can be worrisome for people working in PR as they are concerned about their jobs being replaced by programmable technology, but that is not the case.

Edelman PR and the Manufacturing of “Trust”

“We need to regain trust” is the theme of the year, according to remarks made by the World Economic Forum’s executive chairman Klaus Schwab in January 2021. But trust may be hard to engineer in an age of professional disinformation campaigns by governments, the mainstream media, and a handful of powerful elite public relations companies.

Edelman, an American public relations and marketing consultancy firm founded by Daniel J. Edelman in 1952, is the largest public relations firm in the world by revenue, and some would also say by reputation. Today, the company is run by Daniel Edelman’s son, Richard Edelman. It is a firm with a rich history of controversial efforts to completely change the narrative of some of the most contentious modern issues.

How the World’s Energy Problem Has Been Hidden

We live in a world where words are very carefully chosen. Companies hire public relations firms to give just the right “spin” to what they are saying. Politicians make statements which suggest that everything is going well. Newspapers would like their advertisers to be happy; they certainly won’t suggest that the automobile you purchase today may be of no use to you in five years.

I believe that what has happened in recent years is that the “truth” has become very dark. We live in a finite world; we are rapidly approaching limits of many kinds. For example, there is not enough fresh water for everyone, including agriculture and businesses. This inadequate water supply is now tipping over into inadequate food supply in quite a few places because irrigation requires fresh water.… Read more...
