Blockchain And Nfts Are The Future Of Video Games

Blockchain and utility tokens are increasing in popularity within the gaming industry. However, entrepreneurs often face legal complications associated with using this funding mechanism when launching a game because of its rigidness and legal complexity. Crowdfunding is a helpful tool for developers to fund their projects, but it’s not always successful. Creators using crowdfunding platforms often lose the opportunity to finish their project upon failure to meet an initial goal, and even worse, many projects end up failing entirely due to investors losing faith.Blockchain and NFTs are the…

Unsurprisingly, as cryptocurrency — a concept born and sustained out of the desire for individual sovereignty through sound money and decentralization — grows in popularity, it is coming under the specter of increased…

‘Ten years from now… Everybody’s gonna wish they just bought more Bitcoin’

Despite heightened adoption and acceptance, it can’t be denied that the whole cryptocurrency industry is perceived to be a high-risk investment. In fact, many are averse to the constant market volatility, scams, hacks, rug pulls, and speculation plaguing the market.
This is, perhaps, even truer for the DeFi sector. Especially since it has fallen victim to scams and hacks amounting to over $10 billion this year.
According to cryptocurrency entrepreneur Erik Voorhees, the higher propensity for DeFi protocols to be attacked comes from their novelty. In a recent podcast, he noted that the…

Gary Vaynerchuk Promised Fans an NFT. They Ordered One Million Books as a Result

Over a sleepy weekend in late August, entrepreneur and business author Gary Vaynerchuk racked up more than one million preorders of his coming book. It was one of the industry’s biggest advance orders for a single title in a 24-hour period.
The reason was less about his new leadership book, “Twelve and a Half: Leveraging the Emotional Ingredients Necessary for Business Success,” than the gift he promised with every purchase of 12 print copies: one mystery nonfungible token, or NFT.

What it means for investors

The first bitcoin upgrade in four years has just gone live. It is a rare moment of consensus among stakeholders, and it’s a big deal for the world’s most popular cryptocurrency. The Taproot update means greater transaction privacy and efficiency – and crucially, it will unlock the potential for smart contracts, which can be used to eliminate middlemen from transactions. “Taproot matters, because it opens a breadth of opportunity for entrepreneurs interested in expanding bitcoin’s utility,” said Alyse Killeen, founder and managing partner of bitcoin-focused venture firm Stillmark.Unlike…

¿Hacedor o Consumidor?

Read more...
